Peter had a workshop workload issue at one of his sites and he found that the leadership development workshop run by GMD enabled him to think through this. He tapped into the experience of his fellow delegates and trainers to consider actions he could take. Upon arriving back he put in place the key actions which included supporting the Service Manager to reallocate the work in the workshop. As a result they are now 107% ahead of budget, one technician has left and another has ‘upped their game’. In addition, as a management team they have agreed the Aftersales Manager would base themselves from that site in order to continue the support process. The value Peter took from the workshop was to help ‘unblock’ the problem which he had become ‘a bit stuck with’.
